This line is the outcome of a bold leap into the world of bubbles, where the winemaking tradition of Vesuvius merges with creativity and passion for producing high-quality sparkling wines. A true pioneer in this context is DòRè, the first and only Vesuvius Lacryma Christi sparkling wine produced entirely on the slopes of our iconic volcano.

DòRè represents an extraordinary innovation as it relies on an excellent variety of Lacryma Christi grapes cultivated on the volcanic soils of Vesuvius, imparting unique and unmistakable characteristics to this sparkling wine. Vinifying these grapes, with their intense expression of terroir, gives life to a product that captures the soul of Vesuvius in every bottle. DòRè offers an unforgettable sensory experience, delivering freshness, minerality, and complexity while transmitting the magic and energy of our territory.

In addition to DòRè, our Bubbly Line is enriched with a rosé sparkling wine made from Piedirosso grapes, a native variety of Vesuvius. This rosé sparkling wine is the result of further exploration into the potential of local grapes and showcases Tenuta Sorrentino's readiness to experiment and innovate while staying true to the roots of the territory.

VESUVIO CAPRETTONE SPUMANTE  QUALITA’ DOC MILLESIMATO

Variety: Caprettone 100%

Soil: Volcanic – sandy

Training System: Pergola and Guyot, located at approximately 200/400 meters above sea level

Yield per hectare: 8000 kg

Harvest: Manual, in the first ten days of September Vinification: Steel – refermentation in autoclave (long Charmat method for 10 months – Brut)

Alcohol Content: 12.5%

First quality sparkling wine from Caprettone in 2019, initial trials date back to the 2000s. A sparkling wine with golden reflections that accompanies conviviality with the first musical notes, bearing witness to the ancient origin of Caprettone in the times of 'King' Carlo d'Angiò (in Neapolitan, 'dò rré').
